Lawrence Neil Moore, 78, of rural Wyanet, Illinois, formerly of Buda, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at his home.

Larry was born on September 11, 1947, in Princeton, Illinois, the son of Emerson and Gladys (Stroud) Moore. He graduated from Buda High School with the Class of 1966. Larry was a lifelong farmer and truck driver with his family’s company, Emerson Moore & Sons Trucking. He was a member of Red Oak Methodist Church in Walnut and the Bureau Valley Antique Club.

Larry is survived by his three siblings: Erna (Rodney) Miller of Mineral, Linda (Claude) Jacobs of Springfield, and Kevin (Geraldine) Moore of Princeton, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Emerson Moore Jr.; one sister, Alice Bartlett; and his beloved companion, Carole Novak.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. Immediately following the celebration, refreshments and continued fellowship will be held at the home of Lisa Haun, 20504 1180 North Avenue, Princeton, IL 61356. A private burial was held at Hopeland Cemetery in Buda.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
