LaVonne R. McCollum

LaVonne R. McCollum, 93, of Princeton died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

She was born March 24, 1925, in Princeton, the daughter of Albert and Theresa (Sonnenberg) Merkley.

She was a graduate of Princeton High School. She worked at Anderson Brothers Grocery Store in Princeton and Old Times Quilters Heaven in Princeton.

Surviving are two daughters, Karen Wallin of Pebble Beach, Calif., and Connie Wilcox of LasVegas, Nev.; one son, Brad Wilcox of Princeton; one grandson, Zachery (Jackie) Wilcox of Fort Lewis, Wash.; two great-granddaughters, Aurora and Maddilyn Wilcox of Tacoma, Wash.; one brother, Francis "Frank" Merkley of Princeton; and her dog, her beloved Angel Hunter Wilcox.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and four brothers.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton with Father Daniel Gifford officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park.
