Kenneth Dale Hellberg, 69 of Neponset, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2023, at home surrounded by his family. Dale was born on August 10, 1953 in Rock Island, IL to parents, Leroy and Mettie June (Stout) Hellberg.
He married Karen (Songer) Hellberg on April 6, 2011 in Princeton. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Karen of Neponset, his mother, June in Moline, his children, Tiffany Hellberg, Ashley Hellberg and Kenneth Hellberg, Jr. Also surviving him are his step-children, Melinda (Chris) Hopkins, Danielle Schinkey, Carl (Darla) Schinkey. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, his siblings, Mary Cay Payette of Mesa, AZ, Michael (Toni) Hellberg of Arizona City, AZ, Patricia Hellberg of Waco, TX, James Hellberg of Wanette, OK, and Joseph (Deann) Hellberg of Moline, IL. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father.
Kenneth loved anything outdoors…especially fishing and camping with family and friends. He also loved his loyal pets…dogs, Precious, Bella, Lilly and his bird, Chico. He worked 20 years at Langman Construction, before retiring. Kenneth was a proud member of the United States Marines.
Cremation services will be accorded and memorials may be directed to the family.
