John Carmen Spataro, 73, of Princeton, IL formerly of Chicago passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026 at OSF St. Clare Medical Center in Princeton, IL.
John was born on October 15, 1952 in Chicago, IL the son of John and Irene (Grodecki) Spataro. He graduated from Reavis High School in Chicago with the class of 1971. He worked as a salesman in the automotive industry for many years and recently at Casey’s in Princeton. John was very active with gyms, races and fitness events throughout Illinois as he enjoyed competing in 5k’s and triathlons. Most of all he cherished spending time with his family.
John is survived by his two children, Ashely (Charles) Allworth of Elmhurst and John (Carolyn) Spataro of Western Springs; five grandchildren, Lilly Allworth, Annie Allworth, Chloe Allworth, Macie Spataro and Weston Spataro.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. Private services will be held at a later date.
