Jerry Dale Allen, 75, of Ohio, Ill., passed away Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Jerry was born Feb. 19, 1942, in Philippi, W.Va., the son of Commadore T. and Mary (Shaeffer) Allen. He worked for 19 years at P&D Manufacturing in Plainfield. He finished his career at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet. Jerry is survived by his wife, Carol, of 55 years; two daughters, Cinda (Lance) Kierski ofOhio, Ill., and Katrina (Ben) DeCamp of Lemont; two sons, Ronald Kirk of Sonoma, Calif., and Clark (Christine) of Wilmington; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a twin sister, Janet (Tony) Russ of Joliet; and three brothers, Bretzel (Edna) Allen, Don Weaver of West Virginia and Elwood (Kathy) Weaver of Spotsylvania, Va. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and four sisters. A special thank you to Dr. Timothy Pratt and staff, along with Heritage Health Nursing Home in Walnut for their love, care and support. A Celebration of Life will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at the New Hope Church of the Nazarene at 30 N. Sixth St. in Princeton with Pastor Laura Root-Tanner officiating.
