Jerome Spaniel

Jerome Spaniel, 78, of Bradford died at 7:35 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at his home. Born June 11, 1934, in Sutersville, Pa., to Frank B. & Mary (Wzorek) Spaniel, he married Ruth E. Hines Aug. 19, 1957, in Elizabeth, Pa. She survives. He was a 1952 graduate of West Newton High School in Pennsylvania and attended Pittsburgh Tech School for two years. He was a manager for many years. He was also the owner and operator of Jerry''s Tap in Bradford. He served in the U.S. Army as an E4 with the 19th AA Group during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Bradford American Legion Post 445. Also surviving are three sons, Keith (Marsha) Spaniel of Chicago, Steve Spaniel of Ohio state and Bruce Spaniel of Tennessee; one daughter, Pam Horrie of Jeromesville, Ohio; and two brothers, Robert Spaniel of Pennsylvania and Regis (Margo) Spaniel of West Newton, Pa. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sons, Mark, Thomas and Jerome Spaniel. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Osceola Grove Cemetery, rural Bradford, with the Rev. Amy Holman officiating. Burial will be in the Osceola Grove Cemetery with military rites conducted by Bradford American Legion Post 445.
