Jeanne N. Erickson

Jeanne N. Erickson, 100, of Princeton, IL, passed away at OSF St. Clare in Princeton on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

Born June 11, 1922 in Wyanet, IL, she is the daughter of Harry F. and Mabel L. (Smiley) Grupy.  She married Lt. Howard Erickson of Wyanet in June of 1944.  He passed away in June of 1988.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan Erickson,  Grandchildren, Colette Todd, Andrew (Jennifer) Erickson, and great-grandson, Corby Todd, her sister, Margaret, nephews, David (Judy) Cambell, Mark (Val) Cambell and one niece, Christine (James) Ryan.

Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, her son, Jerry Erickson, her sister, Charlotte Cambell, brother-in-law, Duke Lichty and sister-in-law, Harriet (Buck) Grupy. 

Jeanne was a member of the Wyanet United Methodist Church.  She graduated from Wyanet High School and from St. Francis Hospital School of nursing in Kewanee, IL.  Being a military family, meant living in many U.S. cities, before settling down in Princeton in 2006.  She worked as a nurse at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

 There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00, followed by an 11:00 funeral service at the Wyanet United Methodist Church, on Monday, February 20, 2023.  Burial will follow the funeral at Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton, IL.
