Janet Crawford, 61, of Morton passed away at 9:05 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at her home. Janet was born Aug. 12, 1956, in Oak Park, the daughter of Raymond and Joyce (Tyler) Crawford. Janet graduated from Proviso West High School with the Class of 1975. She went onto earn her associate''s degree. She was employed at McKesson Corporation in Peoria for 13 years. She enjoyed reading and her dog. She loved the outdoors, especially the mountains, and Janet valued her many friendships that she had. Surviving are her parents; one sister, Catherine (Dan) Murray of Wake Forest, N.C.; two brothers, David Crawford of Houston, Texas, and Robert (Rose) Crawford of Princeton; numerous nieces and nephews; and six great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor''s choice in her name. Janet, you and I went to Longfellow together. We played after school as friends. I moved in 1970 and alway thought of our classmates. Crawford family I am saddened to here the loss of Janet. She was and always in my thoughts
Our hearts go out to Janet’s family and friends. We will miss her dearly. You couldn’t ask for a better neighbor.
We became fast friends and she became more like family. She will always be in our hearts.
Janet & I go way back to her dental assisting days in Westchester, IL. We stayed in touch only through Facebook these last years. My sincere condolences go out to her family. She was a wonderful person and is gone much too soon.

I met Janet more than 20 years ago. She had the most beautiful red hair. We quickly became friends and i will miss her dearly.
