James Leroy Jaggers

James Leroy Jaggers of Sheffield passed away at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, at his home in rural Manlius. Born Oct. 20, 1936, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Roy and Nellie (Ellis) Jaggers, he married Connie L. Thomas March 3, 1962, in New Bedford. She survives. He served as a private first class in the U.S Marine Corps, serving two years active duty at Test Unit #1 Camp Pendleton, Calif. He also served six years in the Marine Corps Reserve. Also surviving are one son, Rod (Marcie) Jaggers of Princeton; two daughters, Mae Jaggers of Princeton and Angel Jaggers of Milford, Conn.; two grandchildren, Jared Jaggers and Tara Jaggers of Chicago; one brother, Joe Jaggers of Wyanet; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be no funeral services. Cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton. Memorials may be directed to the Manlius Fire Department and Manlius Rescue Squad.
Jim will always be a part of our family, He will be missed.
