Jack Lee Murray Sr

Jack Lee Murray Sr., 58, of Princeton died at 4:29 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born Aug. 20, 1952, in Murphysboro to Everett E. and Lela I. (Daily) Murray, he married Anna C. Thomason May 20, 2009, in Las Vegas, Nev. She survives. He had been employed at the Hennepin Steel Mill for 36 years. Also surviving are two sons, Jack Lee (Keri) Murray Jr. of Princeton and Tim (Yvonne) Murray of Princeton; one daughter, Amanda Murray of Princeton; one sister, Brenda Cantrell of Murphysboro; three brothers. Billy R. Murray of Colp, Kenneth L. Murray of Peoria and Richard Murray of Murphysboro; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Linda, Betty and Judy; and three brothers, Ed, Fred and John Murray. Services will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton. Cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
