Isabel Amelia Bitting

Isabel Amelia Bitting, 76, of Tiskilwa died at 10:58 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born Nov. 16, 1940, in Princeton to Howard and Kathryn (Stutzman) Eigsti, she married Robert D. Bitting Feb. 14, 1960, in Tiskilwa, He survives. She was a homemaker, and a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, especially to see extended family. She was a member of the Willow Springs Mennonite Church in Tiskilwa. Also surviving are two sons, R. David (Jane) Bitting of Pekin and Daniel W. (Julie) Bitting of Carmel, Ind.; one daughter, Kelley Millemon of Enid, Okla.; five grandchildren, Nicholas (Jessica) Bitting of Michigan, Lynnae Bitting of Oklahoma, Annie Bitting of Carmel, Ind., Amelia (C.J.) Guth of New Jersey and Leah (Brian) Pomeroy of Maine; and one sister, Susan (Ted) Stuckey of Hesston, Kan. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Eigsti. She graduated from Buda High School in 1958 and attended Goshen College in Goshen, Ind. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at Willow Springs Mennonite Church in Tiskilwa with Pastor Cal Zehr officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded and inurnment will be in Willow Springs Cemetery, Tiskilwa, at later date. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday in the church. The Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton is assisting the family. Online condolences may be left at www.grant-johnsonfh.com. So very sorry for your loss. I am sorry that we were not there for the funeral. We could not get any information of the time and place of services Please know that we would have been there had we known when and where.
