Inez L Hale

Inez L. Hale, 89, of Princeton, IL passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at OSF St. Clare Medical Center.

Inez was born on September 6, 1935 in Dover, IL the daughter of Roy and Hulda (Anderson) Freeberg.  She married Richard C. Hale on July 30, 1954 at the First Lutheran Church in Princeton, IL. Inez worked for Harper- Wyman for 35 years prior to her retirement. She loved traveling around and playing different golf courses with her husband Richard. She enjoyed sewing and was a great seamstress.  Most of all she cherished her family and spending time with them.

Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Richard Hale of Princeton; four children, Kathleen (Greg) Hermeyer of Dixon, Rex (Teresa) Hale of Chattanooga, TN, Teresa (Mike) Anderson of Princeton and Roger (Francine) Hale of Green Bay, WI; 10 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; three siblings, Ivan (Charon) Freeburg of Princeton, Everett (Sue) Freeburg of Washington and Irene Nordstrom of Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Jeanette and Masten Hale and one sister, Betty Hillard.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
