TISKILWA — Ida "Joanne" Erven, 66, of Tiskilwa died at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at Liberty Village of Princeton. Born Dec. 30, 1947, in Princeton to Benjamin and Inez (Staples) Stocking, she married Jay C. Erven Oct. 5, 1968, in Ohio, Ill. He died Jan. 18, 2009. She was a 1963 graduate of Ohio High School. She was a homemaker. Surviving are one son, Kevin Erven of Tiskilwa; one daughter, Michelle (Mitch) Kruger of Buda; four grandsons, Mitchell, McKinley and Matthew Kruger, all of Buda, and Colton Erven of Tiskilwa; two sisters, Nancy Brandau of Ohio, Ill., and Dorothy Jost of Rockford; and one brother, Gary (Betty) Stocking of She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, four sisters and one son, Elmer Erven. Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with Pastor Laura Tanner officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to her family

So very sorry to read about Joanne. We were in school together and friends. I knew Jay also. She will be missed. Sending my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family.
