Harold F. Oloffson, 85, of Manlius died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 19, 1932, in Manlius, the son of Lester Francis and Antoinette Elvira (Smith) Oloffson. He married Kay Marine March 2, 1956, at her home in Princeton. They shared almost 62 years together. She survives in Manlius. Also surviving are five children, Kelly Nelson of Geneseo, Karla Shaw of Champaign, Tim (Theresa) Oloffson of Wyanet, Krista Carrell of Sheffield, and Charles (Lisa) Oloffson of Bolingbrook; eight grandchildren, Tracie (Brian) Douglas,Tim (Laura) Nelson, Peter (Natalie) Nelson, Jared Oloffson, Brittany Oloffson, Courtlynn Carrell, Colin Oloffson, and Chase Oloffson; nine great-grandchildren; and a twin brother, Harry Oloffson of Manlius. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard. He graduated from Manlius High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was owner operator of Oloffson Trucking with his brother, Harry. He enjoyed golf, rolle bolle, and was very involved in Bureau Valley sports. Visitation will be from 10 to 11a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manlius. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Dan Stalker officiating. Military rites will be conducted by he Wyanet VFW. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bureau Valley Sports Boosters or Illinois Valley Hospice.
