  1. My deepest condolences to the family of Glenn. I had the pleasure of being in the National Guard at the Kewanee Armory for all of the time SSG Lange served, Glenn was an important part of the Mess Team that was a a National Level Connelly Award winner. The mess section made the Kewanee unit a home away from home, whether just a drill weekend or away for Annual Training. Truly a heart and soul of the best Guard unit in the State of Illinois..

  2. My Friend of 40 Plus years. We served together in the Kewanee Unit of the Illinois National Guard. We became more than Friends. Glenn was like a Brother to me. I continued to see Glenn after we left the Guard. I would sometimes deliver to LCN and he would see me and make it a point to walk over and give me his Smile. We would BS for a bit and he would head back to his machine and continue with his work. After he retired from LCN we continued to stay in touch. I’ll miss you my Friend..

  3. I served in the National Guard with Glenn. (I was a National Guard Chaplain –who never missed a meal). As a pastor, my busy work schedule during the holidays will keep me from making the 200+ mile round trip to the visitation. However, if I had been able to make it to the visitation, I would have told Glenn’s family members and friends how much I appreciated serving with him in the National Guard. I would have spoken of the joy and hard work that he brought to his job in the National Guard. Glenn had a dedication to making sure that people were well fed and treated well–no matter how many obstacles the government sometimes placed in the way of doing things well. In lifetime, there are folks that we dread running into and there are folks that we look forward to seeing. I always looked forward to seeing Glenn on Guard weekends. I will be keeping Glenn’s family members and friends in my thoughts and prayers.
