Geraldine Ann Blitsch, 80, of Princeton died on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Heartland Health Care in Henry surrounded by her loved ones. Geraldine was born on July 6, 1934 in Fort Madison, Iowa to Haskell and Helen (Paradowski) Tudor. She married Kenneth Blitsch in 1950. Gerry, Ken, and family moved to Wyanet after purchasing the Wyanet Locker where they successfully expanded the business before selling it in 1975. During that time the family moved to the country near Wyanet where they also farmed and raised horses. Gerry, along with her husband, established Wyanet Carpet in Wyanet and later moved the store to Princeton. After the sale of the carpet store, she retired. Gerry was lovingly known for her warm and friendly personality at both the Wyanet Locker and Wyanet Carpet for over 40 years and thousands of customers. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Wyanet. Surviving are her husband, Kenneth of Princeton; one son Terry (Sandra) Blitsch of Princeton; one daughter, Linda (Mike) Judge of Princeton; five grandchildren: Lori Judge of Savannah, GA; Mike Judge Jr. of Wyanet; Kristin Blitsch of San Diego, CA; Melissa Xenidis of Frankfort, IL; and Jennifer Appel of Bettendorf, IA; and four great-grandchildren. Bud, Linda and Terry so sorry to hear about Gerry, she was such a wonderful lady, a very big part in my life growing up, I know it has been rough on all of you the past few years, but she is now in a better place back doing what she always did best helping others. Thinking of you in this time of sorrow, you have my sympathy.

  2. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember going into Wyanet Locker when I was young to get meat and Gerry always had a smile on her face. Keeping all of you in my prayers and God Bless all the family.
