George J. Dall III, 97, of Princeton passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Allure Nursing Home in Mendota, IL.

George was born on December 18, 1926 in Dallas, SD the son of George J. and Josephine (Lewis) Dall, Jr. He married Dorothy Edwards on June 24, 1949 in Princeton, IL at St. Matthews Lutheran Church. George is a Princeton High School graduate; following high school he served two years in the United States Navy and six years in the United States Navy Reserves. He worked 50 years for the John Deere Dealership in Princeton and ten years on a farm for Dr. Foley. George was a longtime member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post 125 in Princeton. He loved farming, machinery and camping. Most of all he cherished his family.

Survivors include his loving wife of 75 years, Dorothy Dall of Princeton; three daughters, JoAnn (Jerry) Bomleny of Sheffield, Marilyn (Steven) Lange of Dover, Patti (Steve) Bickel of Peoria; eight grandchildren, Duane (Jill) Bomleny, David (Stacy) Bomleny, Peter Lange, Ann (Carlos) Buelvas, Rebecca Senneff, Paul Senneff, Matthew (Amanda) Oldham and Chad Oldham; twelve great- grandchildren, Tara Bomleny, Grant Bomleny, Andrew Bomleny, Alex Bomleny, Samantha Buelvas, Gabriel Buelvas, Courtnee Oldham, Emma Oldham, Triston Bennett, Mackenzie Clasgens, Andrew Bennett and Noah Oldham; eight great-great grandchildren; one sister, Neva Lucas of Princeton and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Debbie Oldham and two siblings, Robert Dall and Alma Bradley. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Princeton with Pastor Scott Schmidt, officiating. Cremation Rites have been accorded. Burial of cremated remains and military rites will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to American Legion Post 125 in Princeton.
