Gary Lee Bradley

Gary Lee Bradley, 54, of Princeton died at 1:14 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born Aug. 4, 1957, in Princeton to Donald and Shirley (Krager) Bradley. Surviving are his parents of Princeton; one sister, Katherine (Mark) Munson of Portsmouth, Va.; two nephews, Mark (Michele) Munson of Arlington, Va., and Matthew Munson of Virginia Beach, Va.; one great-niece, Lydia Munson; one great-nephew, Sam Munson; and an aunt and uncle, Richard and Alma Bradley of Wyanet. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewis and Margaret Bradley, and Cecil and Hazel Krager. He graduated from Wyanet High School in 1975 and received his associate degree from Illinois Valley Community College in Oglesby. He was employed by Grassers Plumbing & Heating in McNabb, and for many years worked and managed Bureau Services Company. He was a member of the Princeton Jaycees, Princeton Chamber of Commerce, Wyanet Township Board and 4-H Extension Board, and the Hitch & Drive Pony Club. He was also a 4-H leader and over the years was involved in numerous agriculture activities and horse shows throughout the county and state. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton. Burial will be in the Manlius Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to 4-H or the Wyanet Rescue Squad.

Gary was in theatre and on the speech team at Wyanet High School when I was. I always enjoyed having him part of the theatrical group. What I remember was his sense of humor and laugh. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.
