Gail Kathleen Bonucci

Gail Kathleen Bonucci, 67, of Princeton died at 11:58 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Rochester Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Born May 14, 1949, in Spring Valley, the daughter of E. LaVerne and Marion J. (Walker) Norlin, she married Louis Herman Bonucci Aug. 12, 1978, at the First Lutheran Church in Princeton. He preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 1998. She graduated from Princeton High School with the class of 1967 and earned her associate degree in nursing from Illinois Valley Community College. She worked as a registered nurse at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. She was very active in her community and devoted a lot of her time to many organizations within Princeton and Bureau County. She was an avid ballroom dancer and gardener. She was devoted to her family. Surviving are two sons, Anthony (Elizabeth) Bonucci of Princeton and Dominic (Rhianna Neubaum) Bonucci of Princeton; two stepsons, Paul Bonucci of Princeton and Stephen (Laurie) Bonucci of Princeton; nine grandchildren, Theodore, Peter and Christopher Bonucci, Daniel and Gabriella Bonucci, and Luke, Joseph, Tara and Stephanie Bonucci; two sisters, Carol (Sidney) Brown of Leavenworth, Kan., and Sharon (Kevin) Knudsen of Princeton; one brother, Carl (Kaye) Norlin of LaSalle; many nieces and nephews, including Michael Davito, Lori Dempsey, Jodi Westerhold, Abby Sandberg, Zachary Norlin and Megan Norlin; and dear friends, Dr. Louis Foley and Jan Bonucci. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a nephew, Brett Sandberg; and a niece, Kristin Davito. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at the Grant- Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Laura Root-Tanner officiating. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Bureau County Historical Society, Prairie Arts Council and New Hope of the Nazarene Church in Princeton.
I worked with her sister,, Sharon. So sorry for your loss.
I pray for strength and comfort for my cousins, Tony and Nick, and the rest of our family….she was a great woman and is already missed greatly…I love you Aunt Gail….

Gail was my PHS Class of 1967 classmate. It was a great class and Gail helped make it that way. Later as our kids were in soccer, she co-coached with us. She will be truly be remembered by all who knew her!
