Frederick A. Brown, 69, of Princeton died at 1:30 pm. Monday, Feb. 14, 2011, at his home. Born Sept. 22, 1941, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Rowland L. and Audrey B. (Biery) Brown, he married Susan M. Meadows June 6, 1964, in Lewisburg, W.V. She survives. He was a 1960 graduate of Miami Senior High School in Miami, Fla. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an airman first class in Izmar, Turkey, for one and one-half years. He was a member of Princeton Moose Lodge 1339 and former governor from 1990 to 1991. He was also a member of Wyaton Hills Golf Course in Princeton and volunteered for Mobile Meals for years. Also surviving are one son, Steven M. (Donna) Brown of Lake in the Hills; one daughter, Katherine Meissner of Huntley; and one grandson, Nathan M. Brown of Lake in the Hills. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with Pastor Mark Boster officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after the services with burial at a later date. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 125. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the donor''s choice.
I am soo sad for the loss of Fred. I so enjoyed cleaning house for Sue and Fred and becoming friends with them. I treasure the memories I have of our time together. I am so sorry for the family and friends that had the pleasure of knowing Fred. He truely was a wonderful man. He will be greatly missed!
