Francis Dale Golder

Francis Dale Golder, 88 of Bradford passed away at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. He was born Dec. 29, 1926, to Harry Arthur and Verna Mae (Mannon) Golder on the family farm west of Bradford. He married Nellie May Hopper on Dec. 17, 1953, at the Methodist church in Bradford. She survives, as does his daughter, Rose Walker, and his grandson, Bill Walker, both of Peoria. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother and sister-in-law, Charles "Pete" and Lucille Golder; and a son-in-law, Ronald Walker. Except for a 1 1/2 year stint in the Army, from 1945 to 1946, he spent his entire life in the Bradford area. He retired as a local truck driver. Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services. Memorials may be directed to Bradford Rescue Squad or to animal charity of your choosing.

My deepest condolences to all of you. Francis was a special person to all of us. I always enjoyed my phone conversations with him as well as seeing him in person. He is without any further pain and discomfort now. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
