Florence O. Padgett, 96, of Princeton died at 8:20 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, at Colonial HealthCare and Rehabilitation Centre in Princeton. Born June 30, 1918, in LaMoille to Clarence and Winifred (Sheldon) Pierson, she married Walter "Tex" Padgett in Princeton. He preceded her in death. She was a graduate of LaMoille High School. She worked at the Ammunitions Plant in Amboy and was a nurse at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. She was a member of the Community United Methodist Church in LaMoille. Surviving are one daughter, Lynne M. Martin of Princeton; two grandsons, Kurt Martin of Princeton and Kevin (Jaqueline) Martin of Princeton; and four great-grandsons, Jordan, Collin, Noah and Joshua. She was also preceded in death by former husbands; one sister, Janette Wade; and one brother-in-law, Albert Wade. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 3, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with Pastor Norman A. Femrite officiating. Inurnment will be in Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoille. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, April 3, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Community United Methodist Church in LaMoille.
I am truly sorry about the loss of your loved one.
