Erma B. Wood, 85, of Princeton died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Born Aug. 17, 1925, in Mineral to Charles and Jennie (Runnells) Turner, she married William T. Wood Nov. 29, 1942, in Bowling Green, Mo. He died June 17, 2002. She was a 1943 graduate of Wyanet High School. She was a homemaker and had been employed at Harper-Wyman Co. in Princeton. She was a member of the Community Bible Church in Wyanet. Surviving are three daughters, Sandra (Ronald) Peterson of Metamora, and Lonna (Steve) DeVore and Connie (Chuck) Cook, both of Princeton; one brother, Clarence (Bobbi) Turner of Monument, Colo.; one sister, Wanita (Ken) Vaughn of Jupiter, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Jenera (Paul) Call, Justin (Krissy) Peterson, Olivia DeVore, Nathan (Emily) Cook, Scott DeVore, Natasha Cook and Ryan DeVore; and four great-grandchildren, Brittany, Brady and Brant Call, and Ian Peterson. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with Pastor Steve Scott officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Community Bible Church in Wyanet, Bureau County Food Pantry or the donor''s choice.
