Emma "Emmie" Hendrika Crockett

Emma “Emmie” Hendrika Crockett, 85, of Princeton, IL passed away on October 12, 2024 at OSF St. Claire in Princeton, IL.

Emmie was born on April 21, 1939 in Amsterdam, Netherlands the daughter of Gerardus Johannes and Hendrika Cornelia (Van Ter Meij) Lassooij. She married James Ivan Crockett on July 4, 1957 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2008. Emmie worked at Harper- Wyman for many years prior to her retirement in 2002. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and decorating her home. Emmie cherished traveling back to the Netherland to visit her family. Most of all she loved spending time her son and grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Gary (Joelle) Crockett of Putnam; four grandchildren, James (Joanna) Crockett, Andrea Crockett, Tenille (Justin Kilroy) Wrobleski and Tera (Doug) Goulding; nine great- grandchildren, Haylee, Joshua, Wesley, Treyven, Emily, Neveah, Julian, Makenna and Faith; one sister-in-law, Ria Lassooij; one nephew, Charles Lassooij and her faithful fury companion, Ellie.

Emmie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law, Linda Crockett, one grandson, Drew Dungan and one brother, Jan Lassooij.

Cremation Rites have been accorded. There are no services at this time. Burial of cremated remains will be at Oakland Cemetery at a later date.
