Elizabeth M. "Betty" Moodie

Elizabeth M. "Betty" Moodie, 91 of Bradford passed away September 29, 2015 at Heartland Health Care, Henry. She was born on January 1, 1924 in Bradford to Ralph and Edith (Richardson) Kopp. Betty married Robert M. Moodie in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 31, 1944. He died July 14, 1996. Survivors are a son, Chip (Jody) Moodie of Bradford; daughter, Jerrell (Andy) Bills of Troy, NH; 3 grandsons, Aaron (Tiffany) Moodie of Lacon, IL; Matthew (Jennifer) Moodie of Medford, WI; Corey (Deceased) and his surviving wife Wendy Moodie of Bradford; 5 great-grandchildren, Lane, Haylie, Bridget, Asher and Grace Moodie to whom she was known as "Nonie." She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandson. Betty was a farmer''s wife and loved to cook and bake. She was a member of Leet Memorial United Methodist Church, Bradford, United Methodist Women, Bradford Women''s Legion Auxiliary . She also worked with the Bradford 4-H Club and enjoyed playing bridge with her many friends. Betty will be remembered for her many donations of Tea-rings for charitable causes. Services will be Saturday, October 3, 2015 in the Leet United Methodist Church, Bradford at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Amy Holman officiating. Burial will be in the Bradford Cemetery, Bradford, IL. Visitation 6-8 Friday, October 2, 2015 in the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Bradford. Memorials may be directed to Bradford Rescue Squad or Leet Memorial United Methodist Church.
