Eleanor L. Church, 98, of Wyanet passed away at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Liberty Village of Princeton. Eleanor was born on Aug. 25, 1914, in Wyanet to Lee and Georgia (Cornish) Olds. She married Lester Conklin on Sept. 29, 1935. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1953. She then married Glenn Church on July 7, 1956, and he preceded her in death on June 21, 1986. Eleanor lived in Wyanet most of her lifetime and she was employed at Harper-Wyman Inc. in Princeton for 25 years. She was a member of the Community Bible Church in Wyanet, Wyanet VFW Auxiliary Post 6634 for more than 50 years and was a three-term president. She also served on the Wyanet Village Board for seven years and was the first woman board member for the village of Wyanet. Eleanor is survived by her son, Burton Conklin of Wyanet; a daughter, Sherry Hunt of Los Angeles, Calif.; four grandchildren, Christopher (Karin) Conklin of Rolling Hills, Calif., Jennifer (Kirk) Lee of Saugus, Calif., Stephanie (Ken) Wright of Dallas, Texas, and Kerry (Shawn) Sprick of Los Angeles, Calif.; and five great-grandchildren, Mackenna and Westin Conklin, Katie and Hunter Sprick, and Bailey Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Orville "Boy", Vincent and Frank "Buddy" Olds; and two sisters, Maxine Trotter and Melba Bulthius. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with Pastor Steve Scott officiating. Inurnment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Wyanet. A funeral lunch will follow after the services at the Community Bible Church in Wyanet. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Wyanet Rescue Squad, Community Bible Church in Wyanet or the donor''s choice.
