Edna L. Morris

Neponset - Edna L. Morris, 99, of Neponset died at 9:35 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2015, at Royal Oaks Care Center in Kewanee. Born Oct. 20, 1915, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Roseco and Josephine (Bennett) Lyle, she married Clarence L. Morris Sept 17, 1938, in Sheffield. He died July 4, 1976. She was a graduate of Sheffield High School. She worked at Prairie View Health Care, Princeton, retiring in 1981. She attended Bunker Hill Church of God in Buda. Surviving are one daughter, Joyce M. Morris of Princeton; one son, Ronald E. (Janet) Morris of Neponset; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Herbert and Ross Morris; two brothers, Steven and Frank "Bud" Lyle; and one sister, Mildred Bartolucci. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 13, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with Pastor David Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Bloom Cemetery, Tiskilwa. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Buda Rescue Squad/Neponset Rescue Squad.
