Dwayne V. Grant, 87 of Cambridge passed away May 9, 2017 at University Of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City. Private family services will be held.Rev. Rick McDaniel will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Kewanee, IL Born May 26, 1929 in Cambridge to Clifford B. & Rachel M. (Wildermuth) Grant. He married Shirley Mae Eiben on August 2, 1947 in Kewanee, IL she died March 29, 1993. Survivors are one son, Dennis Grant of Cambridge;three daughters: Karen McKune of Cambridge, Janifer (Terry) Roesner of Cambridge and, Debra (Mark) Blackert of Cambridge; seven grandchildren: Bennett (Nicole) Grant of Cambridge, Melissa (Andy) Haars of Orion, IL, Timothy J. McKune of Cambridge, Monica (Mickey) Johnson of Cambridge, Tressa (Doug) Nimrick of Cambridge, Chad (Becky)Blackert of Cambridge and Amanda (Scott)Tompkins of Canton, IL; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Cary (Tani) Grant of Cambridge; six sisters, Zeretta Swanson of Estora, FL, Norine (Donald) Hasbrook of Wisconsin Joyce (Jan) Gibson of Calhoun, GA, Veronica (Paul) Moon of Wyanet, IL, Patricia (Wayne) Weylend of Andover, IL and Linda (Jim) Justice of Milan, IL one sister-in-law, Donna Grant of Moline, IL; friend, Ferne Manthe of Kewanee, IL numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Orville & Philip Grant and sister, Carole Johnson-Hasbrook-Lundgren and Son-in-law Roger McKune. He was a lifelong farmer with many jobs outside the farm. Member of Flemish American Club. He loved country music and camping. Memorials may be directed to Mayo Clinic. Pallbearers will be Chad Blackert, Bennett Grant, Dakota Grant, Doug Nimrick, Daryl Grant, Timothy McKune and Nathan Johnson.
