Douglas Allen Russelburg

Douglas “Doug” Allen Russelburg, 69, of Tiskilwa passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at his home in Tiskilwa, surrounded by his family.
Doug was born on July 23, 1954 in Princeton, IL the son of Bernard and Helena (Williams) Russelburg. He married Kay Hitchell on November 23, 1986 at First Baptist Church in Tiskilwa. Doug was a life long farmer. You could always find him outside either on a tractor, in his garden or cutting wood. He also enjoyed spending time with his siblings for weekly lunches and card games or trips to the sale barn with his friends to find a great bargain. Time spent with his grandchildren was always sure to bring a smile to his face.
He is survived by his wife, Kay of Tiskilwa; seven children, Joseph (Bobbi) Russelburg of Princeton, David (Denise) Mallery of FL, Deanna (George Stienbach) Mallery of Peru, Dan Mallery of MS, Richard (Michell) Mallery of Tiskilwa, Kimberly Mallery of Malden and Brandon (Micheala) Mallery of Tiskilwa; 24 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; three siblings, David (Sandy Spencer) Russelburg of Wyanet, Delores Butler of Mendota and Deb (John) Hansen of Wyanet; along with many nieces and nephews.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, sister -in-law, Lynn Russelburg, brother-in-law, Bill Bulter and two children, Donald Mallery and Deborah Mallery.
A memorial visitation will be held from 9:00am until time of memorial service at 10:30am on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. Cremation Rites have been accorded.
