Dora B. Jenkins, 77, of Princeton died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at Liberty Village of Princeton. Born April 26, 1937, in West Virginia to Troy and Zelva (Brown) Adkins, she married Carl E. Jenkins in Chicago. He died in November 1986. She worked at Wen Factory in Chicago. Surviving are three sons, Richard (Mary) Jenkins of Robson, W.Va., Donald Jenkins of Hurricane, W.Va., and Carl Jenkins of Princeton; two daughters, Karen Smith of Clendenin, W.Va., and Janet (Arthur) Martin of Cross Lanes, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronald (Patricia) Adkins of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; and three sisters, Delphine Colvin of Chicago, Violet Manino of LaPorte, Ind., and Virginia Miller of Carpenterville. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Shamblin. Services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Sarah Gladstone officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.
