Donna Cunningham

Donna (Thomas) Cunningham, 81 of Princeton, IL (formerly of Sheffield) passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Donna was born November 4, 1940 to Burton and Anna (Franklin) Thomas in Sheffield, IL. She was a graduate of Sheffield High School, Class of 1958. She was united in marriage to Phillip Cunningham of Sheffield on August 16, 1959 at First United Church of Christ (Congregational) in Sheffield. She was employed for 29 years at Jostens/MTM in Princeton. Prior to that, she joined her husband at Cunningham Locker Service in Sheffield. Her greatest pride was being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a loving sister and aunt and a friend to many.
Much of her life centered around family. She enjoyed creating memories through various family adventures, including fishing, camping, card-playing, and gatherings with extended family for holiday and special events. She was also active in the Order of Eastern Star in Sheffield, serving as Worthy Matron and other offices. She was very proud of her affiliation with her church and filled many roles over the course of her long membership. She and her husband Phil enjoyed many years of dancing with the Bootkickers International dance group.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Phil Cunningham; daughter Corinne Cunningham; son Curt and his wife Maribell (Garcia) Cunningham, all of Princeton, IL; grandson Jack Cunningham of Oklahoma City, OK; and granddaughter Allison Cunningham of Whitewater, WI; sister Catherine (Katie) Foulke of Austin, TX; brother-in-law Marvin Cunningham of Cascade, MT; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Burton and Anna (Franklin) Thomas, sister Sharon (Thomas) Thompson and her husband Kenneth Thompson, and brother-in-law Jack Foulke of Katy, TX, and sister-in-law Vivian Cunningham of Lemoore, CA.
Cremation has been accorded and Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date.
