Donald L. Bradley, 80, of Princeton died at 9:02 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at St. Margaret''s Hospital in Spring Valley. Born April 22, 1931, in Princeton to Lewis and Margaret (Henderson) Bradley, he married Shirley J. Krager on Nov. 14, 1954, in Manlius. She died Dec. 15, 2011. He graduated from Wyanet High School in 1949 and attended Western Illinois University in Macomb before he was drafted. He was a lifetime farmer, retiring in 2003. He served on the Wyanet School Board for many years and Wyanet Township Board for many years. He was a member of the Bureau County Farm Bureau. He and his brother restored antique tractors. He served in the U.S. Army as a corporal in the Korean Conflict and served 17 months in Vienna, Austria, as a military policeman. Survivors include a daughter, Katherine (Mark) Munson of Portsmounth, Va.; two grandsons. Mark (Michele) Munson of Arlington, Va. and Matthew Munson of Virginia Beach, Va.; two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Samuel Munson of Arlington, Va; and one brother, Richard (Alma) Bradley of Wyanet. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Gary L. Bradley. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, the Rev. Aaron Jackson officiating. Cremation rites will be held after the services. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Princeton VFW and American Legion.
