Donald H. Lorenzen, 82, of Wyanet died at 3:45 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Born Jan. 13, 1928, in Princeton to Norman and Eunice (Moran) Lorenzen, he married Linda Lee Lampkin Oct. 1, 1966, in Princeton. She survives. He was a 1946 graduate of Princeton High School 1946. He was a carpenter and the owner and operator of Henry Tent and Awning. He served with the U.S. Army in Berlin, Germany, during the Korean Conflict. He was a charter member of Princeton Elks Lodge 1461 and a member of Wyanet VFW Post 6634. Also surviving are three sons, Troy Lorenzen of Buda, Brett (Peggy) Lorenzen of Oglesby and Jeffrey Lorenzen of Wyanet; one brother, Doug (Norma) Lorenzen of Princeton; seven grandchildren, Derek Lorenzen, Amber Lorenzen, Tyson Lorenzen, Jacki Lorenzen, Josh Lorenzen, David Wilson and Dylan Ceretto; and one great-granddaughter, Noraya McNair. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Scott Lorenzen; and one grandson, Bradley Daniel. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Hill Cemetery, Wyanet, with the Rev. Marvin Claassen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Wyanet, with military rites conducted by Wyanet VFW Post 6634. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Wyanet Rescue Squad.
