Donald Eugene Clementz

Donald Eugene Clementz, 80, of Manlius died at 2:20 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009, at Walnut Manor in Walnut. Born Sept. 5, 1928, in Prophetstown to Charles and Dorothy (Becker) Clementz, he married Marilyn R. Truedson April 12, 1947, in Walnut. She died May 2, 2002. He was a 1946 graduate of Manlius High School. He worked for Kraft Food in Manlius and retired from Kraft foods in Mattoon after 35 years. He was a member of the New Bedford Christian Church and a former member of the Manlius and New Bedford Fire Department. Surviving are three sons, Duane (Kim) Clementz of New Bedford, Richard Lee Clementz of Portage, Wis., and Robert (Pam) Clementz of Princeton; one brother, Arlyn (Judy) Clementz of Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters, Donna (Lynn) Vandemark of Macomb and Shirley Van Antwerp of Atkinson; one sister-in-law, Beverly (Irwin) Parker of Manlius; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Patricia Gannaway. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the New Bedford Christian Church with the Rev. David Beebe officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery, Walnut. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Manlius. Memorials may be directed to the Manlius Rescue Squad, New Bedford Christian Church or Bureau Valley Volunteer Hospice. Pallbearers: Tony Clementz, Donald I.
