Donald A. Decker

Donald A. Decker, 54, of Buda died at 3:55 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020, at Aperion Care in Princeton.
He was born Oct. 11, 1965, in Kewanee, the son of Francis Alvin and Ruth (Jackson) Decker.
He attended Western High School in Buda. He worked as a truck driver, farmer and railroad mechanic throughout his life.
He loved fishing and hunting. Don enjoyed his work and was easy going.
Surviving are a son, Dustin (Autumn Erwin) Decker of Bureau Junction; a granddaughter, Aliyah Decker; a brother, Robert (Sandra) Decker of Buda; a sister, Lee Anne (Kevin) Reed of Galesburg; a stepfather, Marvin Buckman of Buda; three nieces, Vannessa Sturm, Ashleigh Decker and Blair (Zeph) Thompson; one nephew, Zachary (Ashlee) Decker; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Alvin Decker and Ruth Decker Buckman.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a service will be held at Hopeland Cemetery in Buda at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to his family.

I am just so sorry for your loss. Donnie was such a special person. I have great memories of him from school. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. May God bless you much.

I knew him in the early 1990s.
He was a good man. I wish zinc could of known him better. He told me the 3 funny men dressed up as vampire, Frankenstein, & a were wolf & they did funny short comedy bits. There was always a scary movie on when I was a younger kid. The Acri Creature Feature. Donny told me those 3 guys would stay dressed in their characters & play baseball with others in Buda. I really liked that town called Buda Illinois. He was a good friend
Donnie was always good to me. He was a kind man & his friendship will always live in my heart
