Dona R. Klingenberg, 90, of Wyanet passed away at 2:25 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at Liberty Village in Princeton. She was born June 11, 1927, at home in rural Hennepin, the daughter Earl and Mabel (Childs) Hartwig. She married Kenneth Klingenberg on Jan. 19, 1949, in Arkansas. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2016. She worked at Walmart, retiring after 30 years in 2015. Dona enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, antiquing, and going to garage sales and auctions. Surviving are two sons, Larry (Glenda) Klingenberg of Wyanet and Rex (Roxi) Klingenberg of Wyanet; a special nephew, Ed (Gaylena) Maupin of Princeton; five grandchildren, Derick (Tina) Klingenberg of Princeton, Kristie Klingenberg of Princeton, Jerad (Elizabeth) Klingenberg of Princeton, Adam (Samantha Carpenter) Klingenberg and Brittney Hutchison; seven great-grandchildren, Kamilla, Zeke, Addysen, Kelsea, Jadeyn, Brysen and Michael; one brother, Dale (Linda) Hartwig of Henry; a special friend in her life, Fran Lewis of Princeton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters and four brothers. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton with Debi Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Wyanet Rescue Squad. Pallbearers will be Larry Klingenberg, Rex Klingenberg, Derick Klingenberg, Adam Klingenberg, Jerad Klingenberg and Eddie Maupin. Online condolences may be left at www.grant-johnsonfh.com.

  2. Larry & Rex: So sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. I always looked for her at the checkout at Walmart. Your folks were great neighbors and both showed great kindness to all of the Swearingen family!
