Delores "Dee" J. Underwood, 58, of Princeton, Illinois passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at KSB Hospital in Dixon, Illinois.
She was born December 11, 1962 in Spring Valley, Illinois the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Piper) Hubbard.
Dee married Stephen Underwood March 29, 1995 in Princeton, Illinois. He survives in Princeton.
She is also survived by two sons: Richard McCauley of Isanti, Minnesota and Allen Underwood of Princeton, Illinois; her granddaughter: Adalyn McCauley; her mother: Dorothy Hubbard of Princeton; two brothers: Larry (Veronica) Piper of Van Orin, Illinois and Al (Debra) Hubbard of Galesburg, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard; her maternal grandparents; Virgil and Mildred Piper and her paternal grandparents.
She graduated from Princeton High School.
Dee loved her job and coworkers at Dollar General.
She was an avid reader and loved her cats. Dee volunteered at the Tri-County Humane Society in Princeton.
A visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2021 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton. A service will be held 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2021 after the visitation at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton. I’m so sorry for your loss.
I was sorry to hear of your wifes passing! It wasn’t that long ago I saw the 2 of U together so it was shocking an saddening to hear this! I wish Stephen and all your family an friends peace in your hearts! One day U will be reunited in perfect harmony! My little sister is visiting from S.C tomorrow so I won’t be able to come to the visitation but my thoughts and prayers will be with U all! God Bless!!!
