David Lloyd "Buster" Murray

David Lloyd "Buster" Murray, 68, of Bradford died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born Dec. 17, 1946, in Kewanee to Lloyd and Dorothy (Fawcett) Murray. He was a farm worker, worked at Cox Fertilizer in Bradford and at Longman Brothers for 10 years. He was the road commissioner for Elmira Township for 24 years. Surviving are his fiancee, Carol Dykeman of Kewanee; a stepbrother, Larry (Bonnie) Fansler of Bradford; three brothers, Ronnie (Patty) Murray of Aurora, Colo., John (Pat) Murray of Texas and Michael (Linda) Murray of Kewanee; three sisters, Faye (Denny) Curtis of Kewanee, Mary Wilkinson of Bradford and Jane Murray of Bradford; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at the Osceola Grove Cemetery, rural Bradford, with the Rev. Amy Holman officiating. Burial will be in the Osceola Grove Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Bradford Rescue Squad.
I’m so sorry to learn of Busters death- I considered him a friend enjoyed knowing him while I was in Elmira. I know he will be missed.
We are so sorry for your loss. Buster was a great guy who would do anything for anybody. He was a friend, and we will miss him.
