David Lee (Raschke) McCullough, 81, of Kewanee, formerly of Bradford, died at 10:13 p.m. Monday (Sept. 4, 2017) at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. A celebration of life will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Bradford, with Pastor Dan Craig officiating. Inurnment will be at Osceola Grove Cemetery, rural Bradford. Born Sept. 16, 1935, in Greenup, he was the son of Ogden and Lorene Brewer Raschke. He married Marilyn Enos on Sept. 21, 1963, at the Lutheran church in Kewanee. She survives in Kewanee. Also surviving are five children, Rick (Gina) Barto, Lombardville; Michael (Rhonda) Barto, Bradford; Randall (Sharon) McCullough, Fishers, Ind.; Dianne (Dennie) Packee, Kewanee; and Lorraine McCullough, Kewanee; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Howard (Glenda) Raschke and and Larry (Charlotte) McCollough; and lifelong friends, Richard and Emily Amstutz. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Judy. He was a member of the Bradford Class of 1954. He attended Bradley University and was a graduate of Moberly College, Moberly, Mo. Dave "Moose" Raschke was well-known as a star athlete in football, basketball and track at Bradford High School. He held a record in shotput for about 30 years. He was the Allstate Insurance agent in Pontiac for 32 years, keeping everyone in "good hands with Allstate." He was a Boy Scout leader in Walnut. He was a member of the Elks Club, Pontiac, and he coached girls softball in Pontiac. He loved golfing, fishing, card playing and games, always keeping score and winning. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, funding both ALS and CMT research. Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, is handling arrangements.

  2. So very sorry to hear of the death of David Lee. It has been many, many years since I last saw him, but it brings back fond memories of our childhood. We are David Lee’s cousins from Cumberland County Illinois. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all………Carolyn (Brewer) Brown (daughter of Levi and Dorothy Brewer).
