David L Philippe

David L. Philippe, 83, of Wyanet, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, in Wyanet, IL.

David was born on April 7, 1943, in Princeton, IL, the son of Paul and Lois (Trimmer) Philippe. He graduated from Princeton High School with the Class of 1962. On June 27, 1964, David married Bonnie P. Sauer at St. Peter’s Church in Kewanee, IL.

David worked as a welder at LCN in Princeton for 39 years, retiring in 2005. He cherished spending time outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing. Above all, David loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Philippe of Wyanet; one son, Troy (Lisa) Philippe of Princeton; three grandchildren, Becky (Lee Waugamon) Smith, Mytria Philippe, and Tony Philippe; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; his stepmother, Georgi Philippe of Malden; one brother, Richard (Ann) Philippe of Princeton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. His cremated remains will be interred at South Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded.
