Daniel James Boyle
March 8, 1953 ~ June 9, 2023
Daniel James Boyle
Was born March 8th, 1953 to William and Lois Boyle, the second born of 6 children. He passed away on the morning of June 9, 2023 at the age of 70.
He was always in search of the next adventure, never really content unless he was fishing, searching for mushrooms, or just going for a ride down the backroads looking for wildlife and other sights to see, usually while listening to Gordon Lightfoot. He was a master storyteller, going into detail and even mimicking the voices of the people involved in the story, so much so as to make you feel like you were there as well. He had an affinity for making friends with even complete strangers, like he’d known them his whole life.
He had many jobs in his lifetime, from traveling around in Minnesota in his younger years, assembling silos; to cutting meat in Sublette at the butcher shop, and for the majority of his career, he repaired pallets; first behind Corrine and Tiny Morrissey’s barn, then moving his operation to his home and property in Maytown until hanging up his hammer in 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda, who he married in 1979, who was not only his best friend but also his companion on all of their many adventures together, his two sons, William (Rebecca) Boyle, Cody (Erica) Boyle, and his grandchildren, August and Everly Boyle. Also, his sisters, Patricia Seloover, Peg (Ken) Jones, Teri (Rich) Klein, Mary (Jeff) Lovgren, and his brother, Marty Boyle.
