Dana S. Dickens, 64, of Princeton passed away at 12:32 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 2021 at her home with her two sons by her side.
Dana was born September 9, 1956 in Spring Valley, Illinois the oldest child of Charles Edwin Dickens and Bonnie Joan (Hart) Dickens. Dana's greatest joy and love was spending time with her family.
Dana is survived by her mother Bonnie Joan Hart Dickens of Princeton; two sons: Justin (Elizabeth) Birkey of Princeton, and Ryne Birkey of Princeton; six grandchildren: Savanna, Tyler, Brooklynn, Travis, Isabella, and Wyatt Birkey; her brothers and sisters: Sherri (Gary) Sturm of Princeton, Chuck (Barb) Dickens of Princeton, Craig (Lisa) Dickens of Princeton, Lisa (Dan) Kasperski of Ladd, Illinois, and Tamara Heuchert of San Diego, California; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Edwin Dickens and her grandson, Trevor Michael Birkey.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the family. Cremation rites will be accorded and a private ceremony will be held at a later date through Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton. Online condolences may be sent to www.grant-johnsonfh.com.
