Craig Alan Eckdahl, 54, of Princeton, Illinois passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria after fighting Covid for the last month.

He was born June 10, 1966 in Princeton, Illinois the son of Richard (Tina) Eckdahl and Rosalie Kerrick.

Craig is survived by his parents, two sons: Joseph and Aaron Eckdahl of Manhattan, Kansas; one step-daughter Kaitlyn Cutright of Manhattan, Kansas; two aunts: Edith Allison of Dawson Springs, Kentucky  and Mary Skinner of Calamus, Iowa; two uncles: Roger (Elaine) Eckdahl of Loves Park, Illinois and Walt (Rose) Nelson of Wyanet, Illinois; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Robert and Irene Eckdahl and maternal grandparents: Walter and Shirley Nelson; his step-father, Larry Kerrick and his beloved cat, Jetta.

Craig worked at Gateway Services in Princeton, Illinois.

He loved the outdoors, NASCAR races, all animals and he collected dragons.  Most of all, he loved his kids.

Cremation rites will be accorded .  A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 3,  2021 at Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, Illinois. A private graveside service will be held in Malden Cemetery for his family. Memorials may be directed to his family for funeral and burial expenses.
