Constance "Connie" Louise Lafferty, 79, of Princeton died at 4 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Born Sept. 9, 1932, in Princeton to Conard and Rhoda (Kepner) Olson, she married Gilbert L. Lafferty Nov. 1, 1953, in Buda. He died April 27, 1965. Surviving are two daughters, Margo (Gary) Obenhaus of Princeton and Ellen Lafferty of Peoria; five grandchildren, Anthony (Dawn) Thompson of Aurora, Cassandra Thompson of Salisbury, N.C., Adam (Carmen) Obenhaus of Ponca City, Okla., Eric (Amy Peterson) Obenhaus of Princeton and Jacob Lafferty of Moline; one great-grandson, Dillon Lafferty of Moline; two great-granddaughters, Ella Thompson of Aurora and Sydney Johnston of Salisbury, N.C.,; one great-niece, Pam Warren of Princeton; and one great-nephew, Billy Nordstrom of Princeton. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jay Lafferty; three sisters, Maxine Smithey, Carolyn Stroud and Roberta Johnson; and one brother, Paul Olson. She was a 1950 graduate of Buda High School. She retired from Josten''s in Princeton in 1996 and worked for MTM Recognition for five years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Princeton. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Tom Ostrander officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Princeton.
