Connie Sue Miller

Connie S. Miller, age 76, passed away on September 7, 2021 at her home in Tiskilwa after a battle with leukemia. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on April 10, 1945 to Aina Pihl Bachio and Albert Floyd. Connie graduated from Tiskilwa High School, class of 1963, and Lutheran General Hospital School of Nursing in Park Ridge, IL. She spent the majority of her professional career working for Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton, IL. She retired from the Special Procedures Department in 2013.
She married the love of her life, Lee Miller, and they had two daughters, Melissa (Tom) Burrows, Princeton, IL and Nicole (Erik Olson) Miller, Windhoek, Namibia.
Connie and Lee loved to travel throughout the United States and took many trips on their Goldwing motorcycle. They also visited several countries overseas. She volunteered for many years on the Tiskilwa Ambulance, the Tiskilwa Zoning Board and Tiskilwa Zoning Board of Appeals.
She leaves behind her husband of 53 years, two daughters and two sisters, Beverly Reed, Rock Falls, IL and Alanna Whitmore, Princeton, IL. Connie is also survived by her two grandsons; Cody and Zac Burrows and two granddaughters; Lily and Kadi Miller Olson; several nieces and nephews and a special group of close friends.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents, her sister; Dianne Lund, and her brother-in-law; Curtis Lund.
Cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no visitation per Connie’s wishes. A private family graveside service will be held in Mount Bloom Cemetery in Tiskilwa, IL on September 13. Memorial donations may be made to Tiskilwa Public Library or donor’s choice.
Arrangements are being made by Grant Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton, IL.
