Connie Rue Wilcox, 72 of Princeton passed away July 20, 2023 at home. She was born July 4, 1951 in Princeton, IL to Robert Leo & LaVonne Rose (Merkley) Wilcox.
She graduated Princeton High School in 1969. She worked as a cocktail waitress in Las Vegas for 35 years.
Survivors are one brother, Robert Wilcox of Princeton; sister, Karen Wallin of Princeton; nephew, Zachery (Jackie) Wilcox of El Paso, Tx; two great-nieces, Aurora & Madaline Wilcox ; great-nephew William Wilcox.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Per her request private graveside services in Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton.

I graduated with Connie from PHS in 1969. Although I only attended PHS one year, I still remember Connie’s kind demeanor and beautiful smile. Upon graduation, she headed to Vegas and I headed to the East Coast. Sometime early 80s, after visiting family in Princeton , I found myself seated next to Connie on the shuttle to O’Hare Airport. We had a memorable conversation on life after high school, and life in general. Very sorry to hear of her passing, and my condolences to Connie’s surviving family.

Dear Connie, rest in peace I know you suffered with your feet for many years as we worked together at the Hilton for over 30 years we had a lot of fun times together on our days off we even made a bet on a horse for the Kentucky Derby one day I will miss our fun times a lot
