Conni M. Otto, 50, lost her long, courageous battle with cancer at 6:39 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. Born Aug. 23, 1961, in Mechanicsburg, Pa., she married Tom Otto July 17, 1996, in Manlius. They have resided in Sheffield since 1997. He survives. Conni worked a variety of occupations until her children were grown, at which time she enrolled at Sauk Valley Community College. She graduated with honors, Phi Betta Kappa, with an associate degree. She was employed at Hammond-Henry Hospital in Geneseo as an X-Ray/CT/Bone Density Technician. She was a member of AART, The People Church in Princeton, WOW Prayer Group and Body for Life. She coached T-ball and ran several 5K charity relays. Surviving are her mother, Joan Downey of Sheffield; one son, Ray (Angie) Fisher of Wrightsville, Pa.; three daughters, Christine Bowyer and Teresa Fisher, both of Buda, and Ashley (Shawn) Emmett of Princeton; seven grandchildren, Austin, Olivia, Isaiah, Elizabeth, Alexis, Brennen and Thomas; one stepdaughter, Jessica (Mike) Beneditz; one stepson, Jason (Crystal) Otto; five stepgrandchildren, James, Jon Lee, Chase, Laura and Nicholas; one stepgreat-grannddaughter, Brooklyn; two brothers, John (Linda) Downey and Steve (Kim) Downey; and one sister, Charlene Downey. Conni dedicated her life''s energy to helping and caring for others. Her children, grandchildren, friends and family received her unconditional love and positive spirit. The painful, tiring journey through two stem cell transplants gave her children and her grandchildren an uplifting example of grace and courage. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at The People Church, Princeton, with Pastor Chris Mancl officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton. Memorials may be directed to the family.

  7. ich reg mich doch auch gar nicht auf, nur fakt ist ja das er durch die unterstfctzung in den DFB-Teams viel ericreht hat. Sicher kann er selber entscheiden ffcr welche Nation er kickt, doch hat ja immerhin der DFB sein Talent entscheidend mit geff6rdert, er hat ja hier auch die U-Nationalmannschaften durchlaufen. Deswegen finde ich gut das er sich auch ffcr die A-Nationalmannschaft entschieden hat. Hinzu kommt ja noch das er hier geboren wurde und nur in diesem Land gespielt hat.
