Coe E. Mechling

Coe E. Mechling, 75, of Buda, Illinois died Friday, March 15, 2019 in Toulon, Illinois.
He was born February 5, 1944 to Alcina (Corl) and Ray Mechling in Princeton, Illinois.
Coe was raised on a farm south of Buda where he loved to play cowboys and hug his little kittens. He attended Buda Grade School and graduated from Buda High School with the Class of 1961. He attended the University of Arkansas and graduated in 1966 with a degree in Business and Accounting. He then went in the army and was sent to Viet Nam. He was there a year. Coe came home and attended the University of Tulane.
He worked in the oil fields but wanted to come back to Buda where he stayed until 1994. He married Gayle Denman in September 18, 1971. She survives in Sheffield.
He retired from Hudson Industry, Hudson, IN in 2017. All he wanted to do was come back home. In December of 2018 Coe and Gayle came home.
Coe loved collecting trains and comic books, and traveling.
Besides his wife he is survived by his cousin’s Dennis and Cindy Mechling, Frank Nichel, Ralph Anglin, and several special cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, grandmother, Annie, and several aunts and uncles.
A military service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Hopeland Cemetery in Buda, Illinois.
Gayle, sorry to hear of Coe’s Passing. Nice memories of you two patronizing the Midway. May Coe Rest In Peace.
