Clifton Barker

Clifton Barker, 81, passed away on March 28, 2023, at Aperion Care in Princeton, IL.  Clifton was born on November 25, 1941, in Salyersville, KY to parents, Forest and Genis (Whitaker) Barker. 

Clifton was married to Joanne Moran, mother to his children and later, married Sharon Jackson. 

Clifton is survived by 5 sons, Clifton, Rusty, Randy (Jodi), Brian (Kathy), and Michael.  Also surviving…his brothers, Danny in Kentucky, Priscilla (Steve) of Michigan, Bobby (Sherry) of Indiana, Calvin (Patty) of Indiana and his sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Barker of Princeton and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.  Preceding Clifton in passing are his parents, his daughter Lisa, brothers, Duane, Chalmer and sisters, Joyce  and Alice.  He is also preceded in passing by his nephews, Justin Caudill, Kenny Barker, Marty Barker, Terry A. Longacre and his niece, Sherri Barker.

Clifton attended Stockbridge High School in Michigan.  Clifton was a truck driver for most of his career…but also enjoyed his work as a Security Guard.  Clifton loved going to flea markets and auctions and amassed quite a collection of unique items.  He was known as a jokester and loved going to the Coffee Cup with friends from the high rise in Princeton.  Clifton also loved attending his family reunions.

Memorials may be directed to the family.  Cremation rites will be accorded and he will be buried in Salyersville, KY, at later date.
