Christopher Lee Wirth

Christopher Lee Wirth, 48, of Mineral died Friday, March 10, 2017, at his home. Born Feb. 9, 1969, in Princeton, the son of LeRoy and Carol (Hackwith) Wirth, he married Tara Thompson and they later divorced. He graduated from Manlius High School with the Class of 1987. He was a lifelong truck driver. He enjoyed snowmobiling, four-wheeling and sports. Most of all he enjoyed attending his kids sporting events as they were his pride and joy. Surviving are three children, Hannah Wirth of Buda, Ian Wirth of Mineral and Jacob Wirth of Buda; one sister, Terry (Dr. Gary) Hoelle of Princeton; one brother, Mike (Laurie) Wirth of Wyanet; one niece, Tara Flint of Princeton; two nephews, Ben Wirth of Manlius and Adam (Kristi) Wirth of Wyanet; one great-nephew, Colin Wirth of Wyanet; and one aunt, two uncles and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, at St. Patrick''s Catholic Church in Sheffield with Father Mark Miller officiating. Private burial will be at St. Patrick''s Cemetery in Sheffield at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 13, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Princeton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to his family to start a trust fund for his children''s education.
